Lemon Lime Iced Green Tea

You might've heard of the health benefits of green tea like providing protection against heart disease and possibly from certain cancers too. This is all good but I just drink it because I love the taste of it (and other iced teas). All the benefits are just a welcome bonus. Here's how I make a batch for the day.

  • 6 bags of green tea
  • 3 lemon slices
  • 3 lime slices
  • 6 cups of boiling water
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • Ice Cubes

1. In a large pot, place tea bags and lemon and lime slices.

2. Cover the tea bags and slices with boiling water and steep for 10 minutes.

3. Strain into a large pitcher; add sugar and stir until dissolved.

4. Serve over ice or put it in the fridge and let it cool for 2 hours.
